ACC( Awareness in Computer Concepts )

Objectives of ACC :

By undergoing the Awareness in Computer Concepts (ACC), one should be able to acquire basic knowledge on computer & its usage by understanding the following skills:

  • How to operate the elements of a computer
  • Perform basic operations on the computer
  • Create, edit and format documents using a word processor
  • Access the Internet and finding information of interest
  • Register for a web-based e-mail account and using it, Opening of e-mail attachments
  • Understanding Financial Literacy
  • Digital Literacy to understand the concept of Online Banking
  • Understanding the available e-Governance Services
    The module on financial literacy will enable the individuals to understand the various financial services and be aware of the various schemes of Government of India.

Course Duration :

20 hours-(Theory: 9 hrs + Practical: 11 hrs)

Eligibility :

No minimum qualification is required for applying and appearing for the examination in course on Awareness of Computer Concepts (ACC).

BCC( Awareness in Computer Concepts )

Objectives of BCC :

In step with effort to achieve the objective of achieving computer literacy in an inclusive manner, NIELIT has launched a new programme, “Basic Computer Course (BCC)”. The objective of the course is to impart basic level computer appreciation programme with more emphasis on hands on training. Initially, the course was conceived as to boost the concept of introducing a course on computer fundamentals, especially for students, studying vocational courses at ITIs/ITCs. However, the course has gained popularity amongst many more categories. The BCC was launched in year 2011. The programme can equip a person to use the computersin day-to-day life for professional and personal use. After completing the course the incumbent will be computer literate and will be able to:

  • Acquire confidence in using computer techniques available to users;
  • Recognize the basic components of computers and terminology;
  • Understand data, information and file management;
  • Create documents using Word processor, Spreadsheet & Presentation Software;
  • Understand computer networks, Internet;
  • Browse the internet, content search, email and collaborate with peers;
  • Use e-Governance applications;
  • Use computer to improve existing skills and learn new skills.

Course Duration :

The total duration of the course is 36 hours.

Eligibility :

The candidates can appear in the NIELIT BCC Examination through following modes:

2.1 Candidates sponsored by NIELIT approved Institutes which are permitted to conduct BCC Course and having obtained e-provisional no. – irrespective of any educational qualifications;

2.2 Direct Applicants -irrespective of any educational qualification;

ECC (Expert Computer Course )

Objectives of ECC :

The aim of ECC is to assist a prospective entrant into a professional stream with attaining the necessary skills and knowledge needed to complete in today’s competitive scenario. The focus of the course is divided amongst the following four dimensions:

  • Understanding Computer Hardware, Software and its maintenance
  • Office Automation – Disposal of daily routine jobs using Office Automation Tools
  • Exploring the wide world of Internet and latest technologies in online services and e-Gov applications
  • Personality development with communication skills

The course emphasizes on skill development and latest advancements in the technological world that will help an individual to build up and upgrade skills thereby closing the technological gaps. The module on financial literacy will enable the individuals to understand the various financial services and be aware of the various schemes of Government of India. 

Course Duration :

200 Hours Examination: Examination for the certificate course will be conducted by the NIELIT(formerly DOEACC Society).

CCC(Course On Computer Concept)

Objectives of CCC :

This course is designed to aim at imparting a basic level IT Literacy programme for the common man. This programme has essentially been conceived with an idea of giving an opportunity to the common man to attain computer literacy thereby contributing to increased and speedy PC penetration in different walks of life. After completing the course the incumbent should be able to the use the computer for basic purposes of preparing his personnel/business letters,viewing information on internet (the web), receiving and sending mails, preparing his business presentations, preparing small databases etc. This helps the small business communities, housewives, etc. to maintain theirsmall accounts using the computers and enjoy in the world of Information Technology. This course is, therefore, designed to be more practical oriented.

Course Duration :

The total duration of the course is 80 hours, consisting of

i) Theory            25 hours
ii) Tutorials        5 hours
iii) Practicals     50 hours

Eligibility :

The candidates can appear in the NIELIT CCC Examination through following three modes and the eligibility criteria for each mode are indicated against each:

2.1 Candidates sponsored by NIELIT approved Institutes permitted to conduct CCC Course – irrespective of any educational qualifications;

2.2 Candidates sponsored by Government recognized Schools/Colleges having obtained an Unique Identity number from NIELIT for conducting CCC – irrespective of any educational qualifications;

2.3 Direct Applicants (without essentially undergoing the Accredited Course or without being sponsored by a Govt. recognised School/College) -irrespective of any educational qualification;

CCC plus

Objectives of CCC Plus :

The course is a certificate level course, with an aim to equip the workforce entering into / working in government sector with the vital skill set, that is, necessary to cope up with the ever-changing scenario in IT sphere. The course is designed in such a manner, so that, it not only educates an individual with the basic skill set but also enhances the ability of individual to easily grasp the new changes in the dynamic IT field. The course is aimed at skill development in masses, students,employees in professional sectors at middle level. The course may also be considered as an ideal course for re-skilling of an individual and technological advancement. After going through the course, an individual is expected to be equipped with not only the office automation skills but also with the understanding of the latest technologies and e-Gov applications.The module on financial literacy will enable the individuals to understand the various financial services and be aware of the various schemes of Government of India.

‘O’ Level

Name: DOEACC ‘O’ Level (Foundation course in Computer Application)

Eligibility: 10+2 passed or ITI Certificate passed (one year after class 10)

Duration: 1 year (Semester System)

Certificate Awarding Body: NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society) Academic Curriculum of DOEACC ‘O’ LEVEL
DOEACC ‘O’ Level Course is a foundation Course of DOEACC Society in the field of Information Technology. The duration of the course is 1 Year (2 semesters of 6 months each). The next level IT course of DOEACC Society is DOEACC ‘A ’Level which is equivalent to advance diploma course in Computer Application. The course starts in the month of January and July every year. Admission notice is published in the local daily newspaper of Nagaland about 1 month prior to commencement.

Objective:
The Objective of the course is to prepare candidates for DOEACC examination by imparting required knowledge and skill.

Recognition:
Recognition has been given by the Government of India to DOEACC ‘O’ level examination conducted by the DOEACC Society as equivalent to Foundation Course in IT for the purpose of employment to the posts and services under Central Government.

Eligibility:
10+2 passed or ITI Certificate passed (one year after class 10). Intake : 20 seats for each session

Selection Procedure :
Selection of candidate is purely through an entrance test conducted by NIELIT, Kohima. If the number of applicants is less, entrance test is not held.

‘A’ Level

Name: DOEACC ‘A’ Level

Eligibility:O level Qualifiers OR Any Graduates OR a Govt. recognized Polytechnic Engineering Diploma after class X /XII (No Concurrency).

Duration: 1½year (Semester System)

Certificate Awarding Body: NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society) ACADEMIC CURRICULUM OF DOEACC ‘A’ LEVEL DOEACC ‘A’ Level Course is the second level of DOEACC IT Professional Course.It comes after ‘O’ Level. It is equivalent to advance diploma course in Computer Application as recognized by Govt. of India for Job purposes. Duration of the course is 1½ Year for direct entry and 1 Year for ‘O’ level qualifiers. The course starts in the month of January and July every year. Admission notice will publish in the local daily newspaper of Nagaland about 1 month prior to the commencement of course.

Objective:
The Objective of the course is to prepare candidates for DOEACC examination by imparting required knowledge and skill.

Recognition:
Recognition has been given by the Government of India to DOEACC ‘A’ level examination conducted by the DOEACC Society as equivalent to Advanced Diploma Course in computer application for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government.

Intake : 20 seats for each for each session

Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidate is purely through an entrance test conducted by NIELIT Extension Center Chuchuyimlang. If the number of applicant is less, entrance test is not held.

‘B' Level

‘B’ Level Course of NIELIT Scheme has been recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India, as professionally equivalent to MCA Degree Course. Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course and passing the examination conducted by the NIELIT. Working professionals can also appear in this examination directly, provided they possess the requisite education qualification as indicated below.

Eligibility:

  • For students appearing through an institute Level ‘A’ / Government recognized PPDCA /Government recognized PGDCA / Government recognized polytechnic engineering Diploma /Graduate, followed in each case by an accredited ‘B’ level course (First two semesters are exempted for those who have passed ‘A’ level in full. Candidates having Government recognized PPDCA / Government recognized PGDCA will also be eligible for exemption of some subjects depending on the courses they had undergone, on a case by case basis).
  • For students-at-large (Direct Applicants) Level ‘A’ / Government recognized PPDCA /Government recognized PGDCA, followed in each case by two years relevant experience.*(First two semesters are exempted for those who have passed ‘A’ level in full. Candidates having Government recognized PPDCA / Government recognized PGDCA will also be eligible for exemption of some subjects depending on the courses they had undergone, on a case by case basis). Graduates / Government recognized Polytechnic Engineering Diploma, followed in each case by three years relevant experience.*Relevant experience denotes job experience in IT field including teaching in a recognised Institution as faculty member, excludes coaching

Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA)

Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) is a one-year diploma course in the field of computer applications. It can be pursued both, after completing 10th.
